Lidocaine with epinephrine recipe
Ingredients
- 1mg (1 ampule) of crash cart epinephrine (1mg in 10mls = 100ug/ml)
- 100 cc bag of Normal saline
- 10 cc 2% Lidocaine
- 10 or 20cc syringe (depending on how much you want)
Instructions
- Add 1cc (100ug) (crash cart) epinephrine to 100 cc bag of saline (concentration 1ug/cc)
- Draw up 10cc (10ug) of epinephrine from bag into a 20cc syringe and dilute with 9cc Lidocaine (concentration 5ug/cc)
- Label syringe as Lido with Epi
OR
- Draw up 0.5cc (50ug) of "crash cart" epinephrine into a 10cc syringe and add 9cc of Lidocaine (concentration 5ug/cc)
OR
- Draw up 1cc (100ug) of "crash cart" epinephrine into a 20cc syringe and add 19cc of Lidocaine (concentration 5ug/cc)
